A large variety of AES for all ages

Lycée Français de Séoul (LFS) provides a wide range of artistic, sports, cultural and educational activities led by instructors in French, English or Korean for PS (First year of Kindergarten, only from second semester) to Terminale (grade 12) students. This program allows children to be introduced to a variety of activities while promoting student diversity in a multicultural and multilingual environment. It is also an opportunity for students to train for sports competitions held between schools!

AES activities are only semester-long for Kindergarten students in order to encourage them to experience a wider range of activities throughout the year. Elementary and secondary school students may choose semi-annual and annual activities, while PS (First year of Kindergarten) students may have access to some activities in the second half of the year.

The diverse range of activities on offer includes:

Artistic activities :
arts and crafts, funny clay art, origami, drawing and painting, etc

Cultural activities :
English book club, K’nex, kids cooking, theater, theater improvisation, Web Radio LFS, etc.

Musical activities :
choir, clarinet, musical workshop, flute, ukulele, violin, etc.

EXTRACURRICULAR SERVICES (SES) FOR EXTENDED SCHOOL HOURS

Extracurricular services (SES) are offered to support elementary school students before and after school.

BEFORE CLASS

Childcare

Childcare is available every morning from 8.00 am to 8.30 am for students from Petite Section (PS) to CM2 (grade 5). A Kindergarten assistant speaking French, English and Korean attends to the students before taking the Kindergarten students to their respective classes.

AFTER CLASS

Homework supervision

Homework supervision is available to students from CP to CM2 (grade 1 to 5) from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

In a quiet room, this service gives children the opportunity to work individually or in small groups,, learn and review lessons and read texts with the help of a supervising adult if needed. Please note this hour will not always be enough for all personal work to be carried out.

French as a Foreign Language (FLE)

Beginner to intermediate FLE classes are offered to students from CP to CM2 (grade 1 to 5), on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, between 3:30 and 6:00 pm.

These courses, taught by a specialized FLE teacher, aim to develop the student’s vocabulary and language structure using a variety of approaches and methods with a focus on learning throughplay. They offer stronger exposure to French, allow for the main teachings to be reviewed and extended, promote language practice in small groups and develop student confidence.

SUMMER CAMP

Each year, the school organizes its two-week “Summer Camp” open to LFS and non-LFS students from MS to CM2 (Second year of Kindergarten to grade 5) and available in French or English.

In the mornings, from 9 am to 12 pm, classes are organized around fun activities to improve spoken and written communication skills and enrich vocabulary in your choice of language. In the afternoons, from 1 to 4 pm, children participate in artistic, scientific or sports workshops to enhance learning. Please note the choice of language studied in the morning applies for the two weeks but children are free to change the language of afternoon workshops every day.

Our  Summer Camp welcomes all children who wish to develop their language skills and meet peers of all nationalities, regardless of their knowledge of French or English.

Registrations for the Summer Camp are open on Eduka from May onwards.
