World Food Conference

In a context of climate change and health crisis, the prices of basic foodstuffs have increased by 30% in one year and 41 million people are on the verge of famine in 2021, according to the FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization.

A conference with Mr. Chris HEGADORN, secretary of the Committee on World Food Security, UN body, took place on Friday, December 10 at 4 p.m. at the CDI with 1ère and Terminale students (grade 11 &12). Juno YOON, the student of Terminal, presided over the conference and the exchange of questions and answers.

It is a privileged moment of exchange and sharing with a major political player on the issues of food safety and quality. The students of Terminale appreciated this opportunity to learn about various actions to ensure the well-being of populations in the world and to realize that food security must be the object of our full attention and concrete actions, small or large.
