PRESENTATION OF LFS
Established in the heart of Seoul since 1974, the Lycée Français de Séoul enjoys strong roots in the country and a solid reputation within the French, Korean and international communities.
THE AEFE NETWORK
LFS signed a convention with the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) which operates a network of 522 schools in the world.
The education provided by these accredited schools is recognized by the French Ministry of National Education, thereby enabling students to pursue their schooling in France or in any of the network’s schools.
LFS is the only school accredited by the French Ministry of National Education for all levels from Kindergarten to High School (3 to 18 years old) in South Korea.
GOVERNANCE
The Lycée Français de Séoul (LFS) operates within the framework of an agreement made between the Parents’ Association (APE) and the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). This agreement sets out the responsibilities of each party in the governance of the school.
Both the APE Board and the Headmaster as representatives of AEFE therefore take responsibility for the governance of LFS.
OUR TEAM
The Lycée Français de Séoul employs a team of 75 people of many nationalities with rich and varied backgrounds.
Teachers are all native French speakers, except for the language teachers who are English, Canadian, American, Korean, Spanish, German, etc.
LFS is proud to have such a multicultural community and team.
THE CAMPUS
The Lycée Français de Séoul is located in the heart of Seoul, in the popular Seocho-Gu district, where the French community has settled.
The campus was renovated in 2019 and a new building constructed to house the elementary school classes.
Its ambitious and smart architecture combines modernity with a layout adapted to the needs and skills of each age groups.
