Short Film Festival

Like in the movies! From March 24 to 30, the LFS took part in the “Fête du court métrage’ (Short Film Festival). A good opportunity for the students to broaden their cinematic horizon by discovering new directors and new stories.

Elementary School

The BCD’s “reading corner” was transformed  into a “cinema corner”. During their weekly library time, classes from CP to CM2 (grade 1 to 5) were able to view selections adapted to their age: one is entitled « Zoo urbain » (Urban Zoom), which questioned human / animal cohabitation in an urbanized world, the other is called « Vers l’infini et au-delà » (Vers infinity and beyond), around the theme of space and the possibility of a life elsewhere.

Middle / High School

Screenings were organized for the 3e A, 3e B and 2nde (grade 9 and 10) classes in collaboration between the CDI and the French course. Thus the students were able to discover short films on different themes such as old age, difference, the environment, racism, etc. Following the screenings, they were able to write their review on one of the films and vote for their favorite.

In addition, students had the opportunity throughout the week to see these short films on demand during their free period.

Films most popular among the LFS Students :

Noël Blank by Jean-François Rivard (elected by 3èmeB and Seconde)

“A very good film with incredible twists and turns, a pathetic plot and a monstrous plot. Very touching. » Gaspard

“A questioning of the ethics and motivations of people helping those better able to live in society. A clear picture of the extent of human greed. A denunciation of the exploitation of the weaknesses of some for the personal benefit of others. A successful short film thanks to a strong and well-developed script despite an image and acting that did not rise to the challenge. ” Emile

Vénerman by Tatiana Vialle (elected by 3èmeA)

“This short film shows the difficulties that a person who would like to change their identity must go through. “

“A young’s unrealistic dream that inspires teens to dream and pursue their dreams too. A teenager named Charles who refuses to follow others and become a “sheep” of society. Short film that highlights and sends the message to always try to do something new and seek our own passion and identity.” Michelle

Acoustic Kitty de Ron Dyens (elected by 6ème during free time)

“I liked the illustration and the quality. The story is interesting and funny. “

“I really liked the movie. The story is funny and creative “

Pumpers Paradise by Eddy Hohf (elected by Seconde during free time)

“Super funny! To have ! “

“A little weird but the animation is good”
