Day #1 : Parasport Sitting Volleyball

In order to make our students aware of disabled sports and the Paralympic Games, the grade 11 students used only their hands to play Sitting Volleyball:

  • Paralympic sport derived from Volleyball, invented in 1956.
  • The aim of each team is to send the ball over the net into the crossing space so that it touches the floor of the opposite side.
  • a player’s buttocks must remain in contact with the ground when making contact with the ball. It is forbidden for players to get up, to rise from the ground or to walk.
  • Pitch of 10 x 6 m, net height of 1.15 m for men and 1.05 m for women.
