Lycée Français de Séoul (LFS) offers French education recognized and certified by the French Ministry of National Education, while structuring the courses adapted to its community of students, in terms of learning French, English, and Korean.
LFS continues to offer knowledge and values to our students through competition and co-organized events between LFS and other schools in Seoul or the Asia-Pacific region. These opportunities strengthen our students’ initiative and expertise, while also creating cohesive and collaborative community.
A MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION
LFS offers an academic program based on the curriculum of the French Ministry of National Education, reinforced by a strong linguistic concentration:
- the PARLE pathway starting from PS (First year of Kindergarten),
- the American International Section from GS (Third year of Kindergarten) to high school,
- Korean language class starting from Kindergarten,
- Spanish and German language classes starting from 6ème (grade 6),
- Latin optional class starting from 5ème (grade 7).
LFS is also a certified examination center for Cambridge English Assessment exams for both its students and for external candidates. Our students have the opportunity to pass the exam three times during their school years at LFS.
A CLASS DEDICATED FOR THE NON-FRENCH SPEAKING STUDENTS
In 2019, LFS started to offer a Bridge Class for the elementary students (CP to CM2) so that they will learn French with a teacher specialized in integrating them to the regular class.
In Kindergarten, the students learn French in the regular class directly with the guidance of their French native teacher and a English and Korean speaking assistant teacher.
From Secondary school, the prospective students must obtain DELF B1 level in order to join LFS.
STUDENTS PROJECTS ALL YEAR LONG
PROVIDING INTELLIGENT AND TECHNOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT
At primary school, the students are introduced in a progressive and controlled manner to the use of digital tools which bring added value to our academic curriculum.
At secondary school, the students regularly use digital and technological tools, as subject and teaching support.
The Fab Lab, opened in 2019, is where students can work with 3D printers, robotics equipment during the technology and arts class.
